‘좋은간판만들기’  디자인매뉴얼 리뷰

첫인상을 결정한다… 문자·조형이미지

 간판에 있어 가독성을 높이는 가장 기본적인 것은 무엇일까. 아마도 문자라고 단언해도 좋을 것 같다. 문자가 좋지 않으면 아무리 좋은 그림과 디자인으로 포장을 해도 멋진 간판을 선보이기 어려운 것이 사실이다. 이 때문에 간판 디자인에 있어 문자는 건축물의 기둥과도 비견된다. 기둥이 강해야 건물이 바로 서고 척추가 튼튼해야 사람도 건강한 법.

문자의 중요성은 대기업들이 CI를 변경할 때 많은 돈을 들여 자사 폰트를 새로 제작하는 것만 봐도 쉽게 알 수 있다.
