옥외광고의 축소판-‘코엑스몰’ 매체탐색

에어리어 마케팅 1번지 명성… 다양한 옥외광고 각축장

핵심통로 ‘밀레니엄 광장-산마루길-수풀길’ 매체 집중도 높아

지난 5월 22일 오후 서울 삼성동 코엑스몰. 초입에 해당하는 밀레니엄 광장에 발을 내딛는 순간, 코엑스몰이 에어리어 마케팅 1번지임을 실감케 하는 풍경이 한눈에 펼쳐진다.

소니, 삼성전자, 캐논, LG전자 등 글로벌 기업들이 각축이라도 벌이듯 내건 다양한 형태의 광고물이 시선을 잡아끈다. 동선을 따라 설치된 십여 개의 기둥광고는 내부조명을 환하게 밝히고 있다. 밀레니엄 광장에서 시작된 광고의 물결은 코엑스몰의 핵심통로인 산마루길-수풀길-계곡길로 쭉 이어진다.

코엑스몰은 옥외광고 매체의 축소판으로 통한다. 엔터테인먼트와 쇼핑의 결합으로 젊은층이 대거 몰리는 곳이다 보니 광고주의 선호도가 높고 무엇보다 옥외광고물등관리법 등 까다로운 규제를 피할 수 있어 창의적인 매체 개발이 가능하기 때문에 어디에서도 볼 수 없는 다채로운 옥외광고 매체를 접할 수 있는 곳이다.

다양한 신규매체가 속속 들어서면서 그야말로 광고매체의 전쟁터를 방불케 하는 코엑스몰의 옥외광고 매체를 유형별로 살펴본다.

밀레니엄광장 상단 펜스에 설치된 총 길이 100m의 초대형 광고물. 곡각지점을 경계로 각각 70m, 30m 길이의 광고물이 게첨돼 있다.

지하철 2호선 삼성역과 코엑스몰을 잇는 통로에 개발된 래핑광고 매체.

 

 

 

▶매체사 : 나우미디어  ▶광고주 : CJ홈쇼핑, 태평양화장품‘라네즈’·‘에뛰드하우스’

LCD 모니터, PDP TV, 와이드컬러 등을 광고면으로 활용하는 이른바 ‘사이버 트리’는 코엑스몰에서만 볼 수 있는 이색매체. 총 3기의 사이버 트리가 설치돼 있다.

코엑스몰 내에 설치된 리엑트리스 시스템은 총 15기.

리엑트리스 시스템은 프로젝터에서 쏘아진 빛이 바닥에 영상을 만들고, 그 영상이 사람들의 손짓과 발짓에 반응하면서 살아 움직이는 듯한 효과를 낸다.

코엑스몰에는 다양한 형태의 기둥광고가 설치돼 있다. 밀레니엄 광장에는 4개 광고면을 갖는 내부조명의 기둥광고 14기, 코엑스몰 내에는 산마루길에서 수풀길로 이어지는 핵심통로를 중심으로 원통형 기둥광고 10여기가 있다.

 

 

 

▶매체사 : SAC  ▶광고주 : LG전자 ‘싸이언 DMB폰’

밀레니엄 광장 한 켠에 설치된 가로 2.4m, 높이 6.4m 크기의 대형 조형물. LG전자 싸이언 DMB폰을 본뜬 것으로, 조형물 자체로써 DMB폰에 대한 광고효과를 거두는 한편 화면 속 동영상을 통해 광고를 표출하는 일석이조의 광고매체다.

밀레니엄 광장에서부터 산마루길, 수풀길로 이어지는 주요동선을 따라 천정배너가 줄을 잇고 있다. 매체 특성상 광고회전율이 가장 빠른 편이다.
